2013 C63 AMG vs ISF with full bolt ons.
#16
Not to mention the gas guzzler tax that comes with it. But in all honesty, I think it's more a driver than car battle. The fact that we don't have tunes but only a few performance mods available shows that we can run with the competition well. The C63 may be heavy, but that 6.2 under the hood is flat out sinful. So much power in that thing.

For a 2013 C63 AMG, Mercedes Benz still has the 6.2 engine listed. I, too, heard that they were going forced induction, but I wasn't sure if it was 2013 or 2014. I still love the power of that NA though- such a brute force on the roads,.

Yeah please do check back in with results, I want to know how it goes! It's Did you guys drive each other's cars? I remember my first post on this board where a buddy with a black S5 and I traded cars and I tried to catch him with his car while he drove mine through a nice back road with a good straight and some long sweepers. I couldn't catch him. The ISF pulled in the straights and curves both.

C63... god what an amazing beast!!!!
I adore those cars. With the TT V8, even more so!
That said, their horrid reliability was what kept me going that route. Reading through the stats and forums was a real eye opener. I can't own a car I can't trust! <broken record />

Anyway, he called me this past Saturday to go out and have a little fun, but unfortunately my wife was in Dallas with my 4 year old and I had just put my 10 month old to bed, so I was handcuffed. The good news is we have a big Caffeine & Gasoline meet this Saturday the 20th. I've somehow become a board member and this thing getting pretty large. We have St. Louis Motorsports hauling down several Lambo's and we're meeting at the Hard Rock Casino. We have a short meet and then a 3 hour drive through some good roads. Hopefully we'll get some good pulls on the highway. Heck, our fall drive was when I was playing around with a Gallardo and Scuderia. The guy with the Scuderia now has a new 458 Italia. Not sure if I want to mess with him! I need to go get a gopro for this drive and see what happens!

Best video ever created for all three cars in one day, same track, and same driver.

Below is from the Car&Driver test of a 2011 C63 with the P31 package. Basically I think it is a driver's race between an ISF with I/H/E vs stock C63 with P31. I think if both driver's launch perfectly a small edge goes to the ISF.

The 6.3L is a real beast, I've driven it multiple times, there is never a shortage of torque.

The engine is still the 6.2L (or 6.3L.....if you want to call it that) powerplant.

Still shows 451 horsepower as well.
The 481 horsepower was if you ordered the high performance package, but the torque remains the same.
The buyer gets the forged components from the SLS, not a bad deal.

So how was it? Did you race him this past Saturday?
I had a similar encounter like a month ago against a CLK63 Black Series, more power and lighter than the C63 P31. Outcome here:

Well, I met him at one of his shops at 6:00am Saturday morning and he was having some issues with one of his employees, so he ended up not making the drive. On the other hand, the drive turnout was incredible! St Louis Motorsports brought down 2 new Lambo's, an Aston Martin, Masserati, Lotus Cup Car, Rolls Royce Ghost, and 2 Bentleys. They took a brand new Gallardo and the Rolls on the drive and I was behind and in front of them for a lot of the drive. There was a new 458 Italia, many Corvettes, M3's, Alpha 11 GT-R, many Lambo's, etc on this drive. I spent a lot of time behind a 2007 Porsche Turbo and 550 whp C6 Z06 AND that beast of a GT-R. I know all these guys! : ) While we didn't do any roll races, I was so impressed at how well the F stayed with those guys in the twisties. My friend in the Z06 noticed he couldn't shake me, so at one of the stops, he said, "we can roll race if you think you can keep up." I just laughed and said I knew what the outcome would be. I used to roll him in my GT-R and he's fast, to say the least. It was just nice that these guys couldn't run off and leave me. It was too bad we would get limited to the cars in front of us, so I couldn't ever really see the GT-R open it up for very long.
