Is it 'LiftSupportDepot'? I can't find a seller with the exact name:

Yes, that's the guy. I didn't order the Sachs units, but if you search you'll see he has three options for 2IS. Don't worry about it being IS F specific, any 2IS strut will work fine. I got mine in 2 days for both fronts and rears. They work perfectly, and I got both ends of the car done for less than a single unit from Lexus.

This is what I bought for the hood. It's cheaper now than when I bought it.

This is what I bought for the trunk - it's more expensive now than when I bought it:

I also bought new hatch struts for the wife's Scion from them. All have fit and performed flawlessly.

I went with OEM as I had points to use and the discount made them as cheap as the generic ones. Paid about $47 in points.

All my credit card points go to maintaining my Platinum status with American Airlines. They changed the rules this year and added qualifying dollars which you can augment by using their Barclays card. I fly a lot. Would not want to give up my status for anything.

I originally paid $44 for both fronts and rears. Apparently the rears have gone up in price. There are cheaper vendors on eBay, I can only vouch for the one I used.

Liftsupportdepot is great. I have replaced both my hood and trunk struts using them. Fast shipping and they work great. They have their own we site as well as the ebay store.

Mine were about to go out so I replaced them with these. They open higher too. No issues so far.

Replaced mine with the same Lobuxracer has and they were perfect. Took five minutes to replace them.

Finally replaced mine. The cold weather snap killed my hood support struts.

$30 per set, not bad at all, let’s see how long it lasts.

How have they performed so far? I need to buy new ones for my hood and trunk as well. Dealer quoted me like $184 a piece. Definitely going to pass on that.

Still working just fine. The one in the trunk did decide to pop off at the far end one time, but I might have been a little sloppy on the install, or bumped it with something large in the trunk. Not sure. Hooked it back up and it works perfectly still.

Hey thanks for the insight brother. I just ordered the same ones you bought and want to give them a try. I can't believe the dealer wanted like $184 per strut. If I had them order and install both for the hood and trunk, it would of been like $800 alone.

I also have to do mine, I paid a little more for the Sachs, but I doubt theyre any better.
For removing the old ones - is there any trick ie a tab or anything, or do you just pull them off?
Thanks

As far as I know they are like any hood/trunk dampers. There is a clip where they mount and I usually just use a flat head to lift it out of place. Once it's removed then the damper can be removed freely. Just be sure to secure the hood with something because it is heavy. Same for the trunk.

QFT. For sure you want to have something in place to take the load when the strut is out. One bad strut won't do much at all.
