Overall I am very content. It's difficult to see in pics but there is even a bit of flake in there.

Note the gold appearance of the Lexus which should be silver. Since the brakes have been pretty baked by track use, I'd really like to refinish them with something that won't change color or burn off (like a decal) when I go to the track.

Street drivers - let me know if you've ever seen this on your brakes, I have my doubts any of you have. Track drivers - anybody else been to a track this hard on brakes? What have you done to refinish your calipers?
This is what mine look like as "street rotors." I am beginning to think that this is what people mean when they talk about corrosive brake dust from certain pad compounds. Not looking forward to painting the calipers...

Please don't paint your rotors, you might find it hard to brake!

Painting your calipers on the other hand....

I think you may be confusing rotors and calipers?

It's your calipers that the paint is flaking off and thus need to be repainted. Lots of great ideas on here, I personally repainted mine black and put a yellow Brembo graphic were the Lexus logo was.

My previous car was an IS350, I used red G2 caliper paint and they turned out great, very easy too and hard wearing!

Good luck 👍

^^^^Well, not really. On many rotors the hat or center of the rotor is painted. And if the wrong paint is used and enough heat is built up, that paint will flake.

No worries, I will be painting my calipers. It was a typo that was corrected shortly after realizing the mistake. I kid with most people in my life, but I realized that playing along here (where people don't know me or my sense of humor) didn't realize my second post was humor. Oh well, back turning my left handed crescent wrench, finding the keys to the vapor lock, and running to the auto parts store for a can of sparks, an AC battery and some blinker fluid to get my car tip-top again.

I used to fly in the Army for a living, now I just fly occasionally for fun when time and $$$ allow it.

After painting do not forget to safety wire or lock wire the bolts.

Totally true. I had my previous rotor hubs painted because the paint flaked & rust formed. Very ugly.
