Let's see if I can explain this: since I got my first ISF (early 2008), I've been driving in sport, VSC off, and manual mode all the time. When moving from a stop/red light at moderate throttle on the 2008, the car will just jump forward quickly, at full throttle I'd spin the tires (tire) pretty bad. On the 2012, moderate throttle from a stop/red light would be hesitation for a tiny fraction of a second, then the car would jump forward progressively (not as abrupt as the 2008). Full throttle would be spinning the tires as bad as with the 2008, but again I'd have the same hesitation for a fraction of a second. Initially I thought that the hesitation was the tires but no, they're not spinning, it's the tranny "engaging" something (I guess a gear). You might not notice it unless you compare times at the track. I have a local 1/8th mile track that I use for comparison because I've been there plenty of times. Even though the track sucks, it's bad prepped and uneven, it serves its purpose for this comparison. My bone stock 2008 was hitting 8.5s, and after JoeZ intake and muffler/cat delete it was hitting 8.3s, always on 20" wheels. My 2012 on the same 20" wheels hit 8.8s bone stock, and 8.5s after JoeZ intake, PPE headers, and ISS Forged DES exhaust. My trap time is slightly higher on the 2012, which means that I have more HP than in the 2008, but my times are not. I may go faster once I'm rolling, but off the line I suck!!!

Maybe in Juanca's case, the new 2012 has a slight revision of the TCU to allow a little bit of slip to protect the transmission?

I can not understand how the 2012 seem to be slower off the line. They should hook up much better and having the same motor and transmission.... Why are the times different? Anyone have any thoughts
