There's always "Blue" mode for economy. Can't say I've ever used it.

And if you run at the drag strip, just turn it off. Otherwise, it starts flashing at the end of your run, and will require re-initialization to work correctly.

Does this seem to be the consensus on the mpg to expect with this mod from owners who have this?

Why would it have to be re-initialized? How is the drag strip different from 'spirited' driving on the street?

That white blinking mode is when its first installed and isnt calibrated yet, not sure why it went back into that mode but thats just the default state.

I get 17 mpg or thereabouts around town... My foot is usually in the throttle pretty good. I run red mode and sport most often. I tried purple and sport the other day... Think I still prefer red and sport.

You should do it today....takes less than 30 minutes and provides a felt improvement in throttle response that sets you back in the seat nicely.

Like a few others i feel purple hits harder and is more extreme but if you use the paddles a bit and drive it manually red is much better regarding throttle.

I can't explain why. It just does.

I installed the throttle controller a few months ago and have only used the red mode. After reading this thread I tried using the purple mode. Question, is it normal for the unit to flash for a few seconds when you hit the gas peddle? I went through all the modes and it only stays solid on red and green mode when hitting the throttle. In all other modes when you even slightly touch the peddle the unit flashes for a few seconds. I assumed I went through the calibration steps correctly as the unit seemed to work fine in red mode.

Went with purple for a bit and I have a concern about the amount of down shifting. Seems that the curve makes the car downshift CONSTANTLY without or without traffic. Not crazy about this extra toll on the trans so I'll be going back to red.

Mine flashes in all colors when it's working and this is after calibration (if throttle is in it flashes)

Hmm wonder why it doesn't do it in red/green mode then.
