Default And the modding begins...

I had some money burning a hole in my pocket from selling my old STi aftermarket stuff, so I figured I'd buy some aftermarket stuff for the ISF. I was installing my Swift sport springs and figured I'd test fit my new wheels. Perhaps I chose a little too aggressively with them. The fronts are 19x9.5 +30, and the rears are 19x10.5+30. Gonna wait for some new tires and fender roll/trim before actually installing them.

Not sure what will be next, but there will most definitely be a next.

Update: 1/6/13

So I decided to black out my headlights today. Took longer than I was expecting, but didn't help that I was watching the Seahawks game at the same time.

This week, hopefully I can get my new wheels mounted.

Update: 1/10/13

Got the tires/wheels mounted and I love the look. Fronts fit perfectly flush with no need for fender modification. Might be a little more gap that desired, but hopefully the Swift springs will "settle" another quarter inch or so. My only complaint is that the +30 offset in the rear is a little too aggressive. The place I took it to doesn't roll or pull fenders, only trim. Based on the location of the tires with respect to the fender, I thought trimming the fender would make it more likely to cut into the tire, so right now, I'm left with two options: roll/pull the rear fenders (either myself or try to find someone), or buy an adjustable upper control arm for the rears and camber it in so that trimming will work. I guess it's a good thing I didn't install the rear lowering springs yet. Here are some more pictures. It began to rain outside so I forgive me for taking the pictures in my garage again. Let me know what you think!

Nice rims. Gonna be really aggressive and might stick out of fender a bit.

i was just thinking of this set up a few weeks ago in the same color too! good offsets, im pretty sure you can put a 255/35 in the rear and clear with just a good fender roll. keep us updated.

I'm going with 275/30/19 R and 245/35/19 F. I hope I don't rub too much. I decided to just install the Swift sport springs on the fronts and leave the rears stock until I can confirm that I won't rub excessively.

nice!!! you wouldn't have any issue fitting the front, but the rear is kinda aggressive.

Your rear wheels stick out 44mm compared to stock wheels , i think you have to run slightly stretched tires.

My friend and I saw a set of the GT-S at a local shop and were in awe of how great they look. With the right fender modifications and/or tire setup, it's going to look pretty sweet. Looking forward to the final result.

Today, I think I'm gonna black out the headlights. I did this to my 04 WRX back in the day and it was my favorite mod simply because it was cheap, looked great, and since I did it all myself, it was the one I was most proud of. Anyway, I love the LED look on the 11+ but the conversion is kinda pricey. Besides, I've spent all my aftermarket funds on the Volks... Anyway, I'll put up the pics when I'm done.

I love those wheels! I'm a huge Volk fan... I'm on my 4th set (1st on the IS-F). In fact, I was looking at getting those exact wheels, color and everything, before I came across the ones I have now.

To give you a general idea of fitment with tires, I'm running a 19x9.5 +29 in the rear. I had to roll the rear fenders to prevent rubbing over the harshest bumps. The fronts don't even come close to rubbing at 19x8.5 +38. This is all on stock ride height and stock tire sizes.
