I took the Speaker out, it looks just like yours! The part is like a little Bottle Cap that just needs to be glued back on top of the Cone. But I can't get to it without taking the Membrane off. Has anybody taken one of these apart? Is there a way to remove the Membrane without having to rip it out?

Ok, so I removed the Speaker held by two 10mm Bolts. Peeled half of the fabric that covers the speaker and sure enough, what appears to be a Dust Cap, had come loose and was causing the noise. Glued it back in place, put the Speaker back in and the problem was solved, no more noise!

You can do what I did and take a razor and cut open that lil foam grill and just take that little cap off instead of gluing it back...sounds no different with it on or off..horrible design..save that 180 dollars for something else
