EBC pads.... Opinions?
In the market to put new pads on the F at least the front for now...
I bought some wearever pads but decided on not installing them as I do too much canyon cruising and I'm tracking my car in 2 weeks.
Has anyone tried the EBC yellow stuff pads? Seems like thy would be my best match of street and tuner driving.... I think the blue stuff sounds good too but more race use.
What's your thoughts are these just as good as oem brembo pads but cost 50% less.
Let me know!
Thanks
Justin

I have several friends who've used EBC red stuff pads (not on ISF though) and they swear by them. Very low dust and very good pedal feel. Apparently you have to bed them in correctly so they don't squeal. Not sure where you would buy them, I think there an English company.

For the track Carbotech XP12 in the front and xp 10 in the rear you can daily on them to but i would recommend putting street pads in the front when your not on the track... track pads in the back dont even seem to wear.. Stoptech has the best front street pad i have tried so far

I used green and red EBCs on my other cars. Awesome pads, I never considered anything else.
I would interested to hear some feedback on yellows used on ISF. The only reviews I read mentioned other cars not Isf. The majority of rewiew stated great initial bite, no noise and similar brake dust levels as stock. The only downside was noticeably less bite when pads are cold. It would be nice to hear some updated review from Isf owner.
I am about to get a set of front ones, concidering Stoptechs. (same price)

Thanks for the input guys. I think I might get a set as I want something that can handle my everyday street driving and my occasional canyon run or light track day usage which the yellow stuff pads seem to be marketed as. I don't mind going back with oem pads though if they are that much better???
Will I be cool switching pads and keeping the same rotors or is it recommended to switch the rotors too? I am only talking front set up as the rear oem pads have plenty of life still left.

As far as rear pads are concerned, I would keep them stock for now, I would change all four of them next time around. That is just me. As far as rotors, you do NOT change the rotors everytime you need pads. Have your mechanic inspect them before you spend big bucks for a new set.

Well got the yellow stuff brake pads, installed them myself (easiest car I've installed brake pads to date on) and so far I have been driving on them a few days and they work just as good as oem brembo pads and only cost $157 fronts only no tax and free shipping
I strongly suggest these pads to anyone upgrading or needing new pads in the future

Yes they do show just like the PM do. I'll take a pic later and post it for your. I guess if one does not like that they could paint over the yellow but it looks fine to me
