Default 2012 Oil Filter Type?

Hi,

Went to get some oil filters for a 2012 and Sewell shows 04152YZZA4 while my dealer pulls up 04152-51010, dimensions appear to be identical. So which one is correct?

Thanks.

Just go to a toyota dealer and buy an oil filter for a 2008ish Toyota Sequoia with the 5.7L V8. Same thing...$5 bucks.

YZZA4 is the oil filter for the Sequoia that can also be used for the F.. I use that filter and haven't had any issues. The one your dealer pulled up is the official oil filter for the F, which is obviously more expensive. They are essentially the same thing so opt for the YZZA4 and save some bucks!

BTW.... I got an oil change for 14.95 at Toyota Of Poway here in San Diego with Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil and the said filter for Toyota Sequioas'. They do provide excellent service and customer care. And all are certified mechanics. They do handle lots of Lexus Vehicles here so I'm not worried at all.

There's no catch but you simply need to provide your own oil.

So No mess at home.

^^^I rather spend quality time with my car than give it to some hoo-ha to work on. Plus taking your car to a TOYOTA dealership?! Those guys will take your car for a joy ride...

No... I was there and watching them do the work. So the differences are it saved me from doing the work and instead of paying 139.00 for the same exact thing I only paid $67.00 approx. Plus they would do the necessary inspection.

Besides, it's an oil change and nothing major!

To each his own.
