Will work perfectly fine with the Torsen LSD unit.

If it were a clutch driven LSD, I would then recommend different (more expensive) stuff.

Also as a follow up, you might need a pump to get the oil in there if you are filling it already on the car...looks a bit tight in there to get the whole ~1.52 (or whatever) quarts of fluid in.

Mobil 1 or Redline gear oils. I've also had great luck with Lubrication Engineers LE 607.

Well i did the swap today: 2011 carrier in my 08. Took the car for a couple hour drive threw the mountains and really opened it up, with my summer tires on (its 23 degrees in vermont no snow though). With trac on, in sport mode and manually shifting the car barley lit up the trac light at all... in and out of corners at 100+ at times. The car feels more balanced, you can tell both wheels are pushing you all the time. Powering threw and exiting corners with more confidence. After a little bit even with 180 tread wear tires, I did a 5 sec hold down to the trac button. Driving around more you can tell there was a slight hesitation with trac on but its not annoying and it doesn cut out like the E-lsd was and did to stop the car from sliding, its smooth and you feel more in control, its not as jumpy. Once you do find yourself sliding the car is much easier to correct and steer threw a slide. You can really decided how far out you want the car to go using the throttle. Straight line performance is also greatly improved from a dig and you feel more stable at high speeds threw long sweeping turns. The ISF really should have had a real LSD from day one. After having done this I would tell most 08-09 isf owners, it should be one of your first mods, its oem it REALLY works and its under a 1000 bucks if you buy the diff right and have a cheaper means to install it. My friend and I flipped the carriers and had the car running again in 2 hours in a fully set up shop.
Double thumbs up.

Heck yeah! Have you tried the "pedal dance" that defeats the E-LSD? I have yet to do this..not sure if we will notice a difference or not.

Also for the people who still might be confused on what an LSD does:

1) No LSD

2) LSD

Nice writeup. The rear carrier dimensions including the mounting ears look extremely similar to the early generation SC/GS and MKIV Supra diffs. Has anyone looked into this similarity? This must be limited to IS-F models only as I was under the impression that IS250/IS350 models used a smaller diff carrier design similar to the one found on the older MKIII Supra.
