Actually these two are also placebos. Just a waste of money IMO. Why would I want to increase air flow when Lexus puts 1000's of hours of R&D into their OEM parts.

I think you are comparing apples and oranges.

Dual catback exhausts will yield more power with Joe Z, ISS, and Borla yielding around 20+ peak WHP.

see this motoiq article and past Joez and ISS dynos

http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...s-exhaust.aspx

Axlebacks will not yield much power.

For 1000 bucks, the most cost effective options for power are New/used Borla or used JoeZ or ISS. You will still have primary cats.

I was under the impression that a Borla cat back could add 40hp so I wanted to see what ISS axel back gains were. I did not know that a Borla cat back exhaust put out only minimal gains that were not really noticeable

Well if a cat back will indeed get you 40whp increase, then I stand corrected.

Even still, with a lower budget than the cat back ISS, I would go with this new axle back. Quality and looks of this ISS stuff is phenomenal.

I'm not positive a cat back gets a 40 hp gain, seems to be 20 is the more accurate figure according to posts. I will wait till Jan when this axel back comes available and see what it sounds like before deciding

What's the status of this exhaust? Any potential release date? Thanks!

I would like to bump this up. I am sort of holding off the Borla axle back purchase.
Any update, or hopefully more pictures?
Anything yet? Thank you in advance.

Rossi I have a Borla axle back and to be honest its a little disappointing, maybe the Borla catback sounds better.

I'm also interested in this ISS system

In for updates

Hopefully they could do some sound/ video clips shortly and maybe try this out with an ISF that has headers installed as well.

Tell me more about the disappointment please.
I cannot go with the cat-back system, living in California.
Too much hassle with the emissions, I don't want to go too much louder ether,
just little bit more of the v8 personality.

If you just want to go a little louder you may like the Borla axle back. I have come out of an RS5 which I put a Capristo exhaust on and also a C63 so I was just comparing it to those. There is some cabin drone but not over bearing

Thank you bullit,
Would you say it feels a lot like stock?
Can you be more clear on the drone, what exactly can I expect?

I actually started the Borla axle back thread.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ck-thread.html

I would preffered to keep my stock exhaust tips, but if the ISS turn out to be
way more awesome, I might consider it instead.

Yes its similar to stock but there is some cabin hum or drone. I am only comparing it to my previous cars which had zero drone.
I went for a drive in a car with a JoeZ system and it sounds awesome but don't think I could have it on my daily driver, after going for a drive with JoeZ the Borla axle back is very quiet in the cabin. This is just my opinion, I am sure other people will disagree. Try and go for a drive with someone that has one.
