Found unidentified device when removing rear seats
I removed the rear seats in attempt to repair the blown ML subwoofer today. Unfortunately, I was unable to completely remove the rear deck to remove the sub so I merely disconnected it. However, while the seats were removed, I noticed some wires that were poorly dressed with electrical tape and seemed out of place. I ran along the wires until I found what it was connected to and did not appear to be from factory. It's an unmarked and unidentified device. I snapped a few pictures if anyone has an idea what this is? I thought it may have been a LoJack device but comparing with pictures I found on google, this doesn't appear to be it.
I found it along the side near the rear passenger door when I removed the plastic lining.

Is it connected to something else? Lojack has a unit and a battery. The thing in your pic looks like a battery, not the transmitter. Did you trace the wires coming out of the end of it?

Lojacks are normally located in more accessible areas for the unit and then for the wire antennae, like in passenger footwell, underneath the carpet. Under the rear seat seems a lot of trouble for install, but then again that seems like a great place.
If it is a LoJack, don't take it out, just renewal the protection or re-register. The wire you see is probably the antennae, as the LoJack is battery powered.
