Does anyone know how to completely reset my Mark Levinson GPS in my 2008 ISF?
I tried to unplugged the battery; pull the 'radio 1' fuse. I plugged them back it but it seem like the GPS still has some memory in it. (it still have all my registered POI and quick access)

I created a hybird disk GPS with my 11.1 map disk and 5.1 loading file (so i can enable over-ride when driving).

When I put my 11.1/5.1 hybird disk in, the screen show ' A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer'. The disk is made correcty; becuase the system will loads the map from the disk, but just not the 5.1 loading file.
Which now I am thinking it might be a special procedure to 'completely' cut off the power and resert the gps beside unplugging the battery cable.

Any helps will be greatly apperciated!!

There's something wrong with what you are trying to use. Are you saying you have a disc that will override the nav lockout? I am not aware of that...just the nav bypass kits and rewiring tricks.

Find/buy/torrent an OEM nav-only disc and use that and I suspect everything will be ok. Then re-try what you were doing. I don't think the override thing is feasible via disc to be honest. Otherwise we wouldn't have $300 wiring kits still selling. Or else this is news to me and I'm seriously intrigued.

it actually seem legit. I been researching forums etc. The over-ride trick was basically enable the driver or passenger to input the address in the gps when the car is in motion.

When I had my 2006 IS250. I can go into the volume control, and than tap 'top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left' it will pull up system manual. Hold your finger at the box said 'over-ride' until it beep will enable you to use all the function in the GPS when driving.

Hmmm. That corner trick gets you into the Maintenance screens but I had never heard of it overriding more than that. Interesting...

bringing up an old thread... has anyone got the reset to work for the isf? or the hybrid discs to work? thanks

Hybrids quit working a long time ago. I made a few of them, but they don't work well at all.

thanks for the reply. you mean they never worked for the isf right? i have an 08 and ive been trying forever to get a hybrid working with both the 11.1 and the 12.1 ...but everytime i put one in there the system pops up with an error and to consult the dealer...so im guessing the firmware wont take the 5.1 data

Exactly. Tried it, and failed with discs that worked with 7.1 and 8.1 in my 350, but nothing more recent worked in the F.
