I just purchased and installed Hawk Racing Performance Ceramic pads a few days ago on the front after they started squeaking TERRIBLY after one track day a week or two ago. Upon removal , at least 1/3 - 1/2 of the factory pads remained, however, I still replaced in favor of the ceramic ones.
So far so good. Less initial bite is noticeable, but with a tiny bit more pressure I still experience. Ill wash my car this weekend and we'll see how much less brake dust is on my front wheels if at all.

here is a link with a lot of info on the "squeak" problem that is very common with our brakes - these threads will also have info on the Wearever pads people have switched too.

Just an fyi, I had both front and rear pads done yesterday and on the ticket it was noted in accordance with L-SB-0043-11 for squealing brakes. They dont squeal anymore, but mine started at 7k, so I'll see if these work out. No questions, they just swapped them out.

If your there, I see why not. It's a no cost factor to you. Hopefully the new shims and pads work.

Sarge, how is the initial pedal "bite" with the wearever pads? I'm looking to switch out the oem pads at some point but I do like the initial bite that the oem pads have. just hate the dust like everyone else..
