This is the same issue on all Toyota forums; the ecu is near impossible to crack and/or just isn't worth it. The 2zzge guys from the celica gts/corolla xrs have been going at it since 2000. Closest they got was a piggy back. Toyota's aren't for tuning.

You guys should get over to the Northeast forum. We had a few meets last year but it's been quiet this year. Getting a meet together is always something I'm interested in.
