With the rarity of our cars and the popularity of this forum, I've been wanting to start a "sightings" section for awhile, specifically for the IS-F. This should be another great way to bring the forum closer and share some more stories. Let's use the format of the other succesful "sightings" threads from other forums.

This afternoon on Sunday 19th around noon I was getting off the 5 freeway in Orange County off Tammarack Avenue and I heard a car zoom by me with a whistling sound. I caught a glimpse of something blue and immediately thought it was an STi, I was wrong! It was an Ultrasonic Blue IS-F. As he drove by he gave me a thumbs up so I caught up to him to chat. Well the whistling sound was his Artisan Twin Turbo setup!!! It sounded freakin awesome on that car!! He was from L.A. and a way cool guy - after hearing that turbo on his car, it definitely is making me look into one now!

I heard the turbo system doesn't run that well because we can't tune the car?

LOL...I like how lowering, rims, a body kit, I/H/E and some other things is heavily modified...lol

I asked him if he had any problems with it and he said he has had a few, but nothing major within the 10k miles he has had it. He said one problem was just a small saudering issue.

lol it is for an IS-F cause there is barely anything to do to our cars!!

I'm gonna cry with you on that one.

Sometimes I wish our car had more mods....but eh...might not be necessary. I've had the car almost 4 years now....no mods...I'm proud of myself.

Op, did u ask the price of his set up? I'm sure it was not economical. Did he do a dyno? When does his turbo kick in? I had a friend. With a tt set up. He sold his cause it was not as fun as a stock f. Tt took too long to kick in. Said he would get beat from stop light to stop light.
