The roar is also dependent on the amount of throttle. If you are just getting the revs higher but are barely pushing down the pedal, you won't hear it as much.

If you put your foot to the floor and go WOT, you will absolutely hear it.

Okay so you have to reset a few settings after you unplug the negative end so what big deal.
