Default New ISF (to me)

So after lots of shopping around and grinding, I finally picked up the high mileage ISF posted out of Oklahoma. Let me first say that the previous owner was 100% honest and forthcoming about any issues - so on a whim we had finally come to terms, and I decided I'd drive up and finalize.

Car was overall very clean, Johnny did a great job of making sure I knew everything and he for sure oversold every problem there was - they were hardly any but Johnny wanted to make sure I knew of anything before I came up.

So far I drove the car home from Tulsa (500 miles) and it averaged about 24.8mpg on the way home and had NO problems passing traffic! I was pleasantly surprised by the power, as well as the over all comfort.

Let me say that this car replaced my 2001 GS430, and I have a 900whp supra that is my toy, so this is going to be a continuation of my daily driver V8 lexus experience. It's no where near as fast as my supra but it's fast enough to keep me entertained.

my ONLY complaint (and one I've read about a lot) is that the factory suspension is VERY stiff, on pavement transitions it beats the kidneys pretty good! The trade off is that the car handles great.

Because I've had so many toyota cars, and have had my supra for quite a while I happen to have a spare set of wheels too - so as soon as I woke up this morning, on went new wheels - I think you'll like it! I will say the rear fitment is VERY agressive and rubs on some bumps, but remember these came off my supra - I would probably have NOT done such an agressive fitment if I had bought specifically for this car...

Stock...

Not Stock... 20 Volk TE37, 20x9.5+43 front - 255/30/20 , 20x10.5+45 rear 305/25/20

and Supra for reference...

considering it literally cost me 0$ to put the volks on (already owned them, they were in the attic lol) yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it looks.

You just had those wheels sitting in your attic? Lol, nice. They look good, even at the stock ride height, but since it is your daily, I'd probably see if I could sell them or trade them for some wheels that fit better, because I imagine that rubbing will get old quickly.

But definitely nice pick up on the car. You'll be one of the first on this forum that I'm aware of to roll over the 100K mark, and the car still looks excellent! It's extra nice to know you've got a 900whp beast as a weekend/track car too. Good find.

Vbb: I'm probably just going to roll the fenders - unless someone wants to make me a deal for some other high end wheels - the problem is the 20" TE37s and tires are almost 10k$ worth of wheels and tires and frankly - I have the only set that I know of in proper supra fitments - it just happens to be they MOSTLY fit the ISF

The fronts fit perfectly, better than they fit the supra honestly, the rear tire is just a tad wide, If it were a 285 tire instead of a 305 it'd fit without rubbing.

but yes, in my attic - they are my daily wheels for the supra, but I popped the supra motor back in april, and prior to that the supra had been on a drag racing kick so I always had drag radials or slicks on it so these street wheels and tires just didn't get used.

Love to see the high mileage ones. I picked my 08 up about 2 months ago with 35000 and at 37000 now but planning on keeping this car for at least 5 years and DRIVING it. Good to know it should still be driving awesome at 100k

Lol, the F must be a snail compared to your 900whp Supra (less than half the power!)...although you will love the luxurious aspects of it. This gives me confidence that the F has minimal problems even into the 100k range.

unfortunately the supra pretty much ruins ever driving "fast" cars again - short of twin turbo lambos there is nothing that touches it on the street... the ISF is no slouch but no car feels fast to me anymore, I refer to the ISF as quick... for a grocery getter

Congrats on the car and the new look. TE37s look great on pretty much everything. And you rarely ever see them in 20"s.

Sounds like the car went to a good owner who knows how take care of his cars.. Jonny seems like a cool down to earth guy and i have spoken to him on and off for a few years now...

The car looks super clean and well cared for.. The newer wheels look great.. Maybe change the rear tire to avoid some rubbing.... GL.... your lucky lol
