I ordered an HPS Silicon intake and I may have received a defective item.

For those of you who have received one, are the metal inlets for the breather hoses already pre-installed (i.e. part of the actual intake) or are they removable?

Mine did not have the metal inlets so there is no way to attach the breather hoses. I'm concerned whether I need to seek a full replacement or simply request the metal inlets.

The metal inserts are removable. That's weird it didn't come with them. I guess hit them up and ask for a pair of them.

You will love the intake. My favorite so far and I have had 5 different intakes now lol.

it seems like something wrong with the intake's inlets, contact the seller to get the new intake. I have the red one, like it so much.

Is there any difference between the hps intake tube vs the joe z? i like the look of the joe z but dont want heat soaking issues etc. pulling the trigger on one with in the week most likely.

I have the Joe Z...it does get hot..but so does the intake and the throttle body that it goes into....so it's not really gonna make a difference , other than looks....that's really what it comes down to
