IMO, you take the same money that is would cost to do a P800 or A6 on an 09 and you get a 13 and a warranty.

Excellent move OP. CONGRATS an thanks for the "salt and pepper" pics. Interesting how many guys go back and forth between ISFs and GTRs. I guess true Car Buffs choose the best cars!

Thanks...and yes these two cars are both absolutely incredible. They both have INSANE transmissions. The shifting in both is what is most impressive to me. The ISF can keep up with way more powerful cars because of that tranny. SICK!!

yea they did some impressive improvements. I hear with the launch it does 2.7sec 0-60.....and it's not like the older ones as far as voiding the warranty from more than 2 launches. I mean, they told me that if I launch it six times in a row and something happens they won't warranty it. But they said I could launch more than twice without voiding warranty.

Congrats Danny... I gotta change your name on my phone from Danny ISF to Danny GTR now. You should come with us to the meet in Goshen, NY on July 29.

I am afraid that is incorrect, from what I have heard. Don't take my word for it though.

Your car will go into limp mode, and it will not let you launch the car after a certain number of launches. Until the tranny/car has sufficient time to cool and such.

There is no voiding of the warranty from launching, from what i understand on the 12s and 13s.

Besides the Nissan North America is who decides warranty issues. I follow these cars closely.

i think about switching to a used 997 turbo or a GTR all the time... congrats and enjoy. I think you can get all the daily comfort that you have in the F in a porsche but if you want to mod the car the gtr has many more options. Stock the 911 and older gtrs are very simialr in performance.

Danny - congrats on the new toy. The white GTR is the sharpest color IMO. Let's see how long the GTR stays stock . Great to have caught your F at the Rallye meet last month.

I can't get over how ridiculously insane these women are acting...LOL

BTW...congrats on the GTR...it does seem like a lot of people on this forum switch to it. I wonder how it is on other forums like the M3 forums?

I think if I made a switch from the IS F, I'm going to Porsche...997 GT3 for me.

Part right. Part wrong. "Voiding" the warranty is all determined by black box data pulled from the car. If you launch the thing 10 times a day for a month straight than most likely they will void your trans warranty. Its up to the dealership whether to warranty the repair work or submit it to corporate. What programming you have on the TCM also makes a big difference. LC5 currently launches at 3,800 as opposed to 4,500. The launch rpm can be changed to anything you want with an ecutek/cobb AP btw.
