The IS-F I would use words as "refined, sedate, clean, classy, comfortable, Daily Driver"

GTR the words that come to mind is "menacing, FAST, race, eye-catching, gadgets, toy, weekend driver"

Guys who DD their GTR probably has a job out in the countryside or does not commute in rush hour traffic nor real city driving in downtown. I could see driving the GTR if I didn't have to deal with traffic.

Disclaimer: I drove the GTR for a weekend in Chicago and west suburbs....boy was I glad to be back in my RX afterwards

P.S. this is no fault of the GTR as it's a race car. I would classify the NSX, Viper, and most exotics also in this category as fun weekend only cars.
Bam! You couldn't have described the 2 better. I guess my point to the thread was, in 90% of my driving situations, I'd take the F over the GT-R. Oh but that other 10% is what makes the earth turn. Good post s4play!

Even though it in no way compares to the GTR, the way you describe the GTR makes me think of when I traded in my heavily modified STI for the ISF. The STI was just more fun for that 5% of driving I really let loose on it, but the ISF is just so much better for the other 95% and I can keep it stock and be happy with 'enough' speed, and be much happier and more comfortable most of the time.

I still really want to drive a GTR at some point though, just don't think I could ever own it as a DD.

I own a GTR and IsF. You are right about the GTR. The performance is addicting and makes my IsF feel like a turtle but the refinement of the Lexus is hard to beat. Hope u can own the best of both worlds again soon.
