If you have 2012+ wheels, I'd say definitely. According to the posted specs on tirerack.com the S04 in 285/30 is fine on a 9.5 wheel.

I've been running this set up for almost a year now and I love it. best set of tires all-around I have every had on the car including PS2's in stock sizes. This is my second 245/285 combo I've had on the car and the SO-4PP are wonder for traction, balance, noise and ride.
I'm also running the rear F-sport swaybar and RR Racing LCA bushing on an 2008.
Alright. So originally I posted that I was going with 245/275 PSS.. But then the Ebay deal earlier this year really made the S-04s very attractive. I've had 2.5K miles on these so far and I kind of wish I stuck with OEM size.
If you ever take on back to back S-turns, you'll definitely feel the 'boaty' feel that other users are reporting caused by a bit more body roll. It feels like I have to do more work to transition in between turns. The turn-in is odd and I cant say if it was improved or worsen - maybe i'm not used to it, but I almost want to say that the understeer is slightly more pronounced? ie: think "dead on center".
The one thing that did change - was that I can no longer break traction. Which is a plus/minus when you have access to an open warehouse lot. The "catch" spot on a steering correction is alot more harder to feel.

How does the car act when launching with the pole positions? I just purchased some but have yet to install.

I don't think launching is the problem with the users here. There is no slippage compared to the 255. But I don't know if that translate into faster times since this is a heavier tire.

I recenty switched from 245/285 set up to 255/275 set night and day difference. Like you turn in was strange, increase understeer I had that bloatly feel as well. When on the highway hitting high-speed sweepers over triple digits is when I really felt understeer, and was even more pronounced. I never felt confident driving the car at high speeds on highways and transitioning between lanes at speed. The 255/275 have solved all those problems, understeer is no longer issue, much tighter more precise feeling as well as predictability mind you I only have about 500 miles on the tires and they feel world better than Old setup. As for traction is concerned so for the 275 or holding the power I used to break loose even with the 285 my power mods are I/H/E
