Default joe z install???

Hi guys, i bought a used joe z exhaust for my f and will be installing it tomorrow, i have a question, the used exhaust did not come with gaskets so I don't know if i need them. I do have 2 new pancake gaskets that go just after the stock headers, but do i need other gaskets for the other sections of the exhaust??
thanks

Exclamation FYI for All...

Yes you need them (all 4) or they sections will leak....

Try to bring the exhaust to a local exhaust shop or parts shop to see if they have a similar flat gasket to sell you...

^^ Custom...

..Bring the X-pipe with you to see the flange size and shape.. Its the lightest to carry..

If you can't find anything similar, we would have to sell you a set of 4..

if your local muffler/exhaust shop doesn't have it, try auto zone, pep boys, orielys, etc. They usually have a bunch of gaskets that they could match up. Had to do this in the past since the muffler shop ran out of the gaskets that I was looking for.

Does the Joe Z PTS exhaust doesnt come with the gasket? Do I have to get a gasket for it. I just order my exhaust. It should come with the gaskets I need for it. This is the second time I heard about someone having problems with their exhaust with missing gaskets.

OP bought his exhaust used so it didn't come with gaskets..I'm sure if you ordered the Joe Z exhaust brand new, it'll come with everything you need to install it (minus the tools hahha)

If you ordered the exhaust new it should have come with gaskets. If you didn't receive it in the package, I'm sure Joe Z will take care of you.

Yes guys....

Brand New Exhausts come with - New Gaskets & New Hardware kit...

*** Used comes with whatever the seller gives you.. LoL ***

Entire new hardware kit will run $25...

4 gaskets alone, will run $16 ($4x4)

From time to time we do help members out by selling them parts they need to install "used" exhausts...

Best Regards,

Joe Z

Hey Joe..
my local shop needs to temporarily remove my exhaust to re-weld the O2 sensor bungs at a better angle so they don't hang down as much to try to prevent future damage (one hangs down and looks like it hit something and now not working so has to be replaced)..
anyway he'll have to remove it and last time he did this to weld in the magnaflow cats I noticed some of the gaskets tore, etc. So, i'm thinking it would be a good idea to have the gaskets on hand to replace them.... how can I buy a set from you ASAP? also, would that include the gasket between the exhaust and the PPE headers?
TIA!!
michael
ps. I tried to PM you, but your message box is full and it wouldn't go through!

Michael,

Not sure when you PM'd me.... But it shows I have plenty of space...

We can only provide you with the 4 gaskets we send with our New Exhaust systems...

You will have to buy OEM gaskets from Lexus / Toyota (# 90917-06078) if you want to replace the ones between the X-Pipe & PPE Headers..

Thank You,

Joe Z
