My first 3m di-noc project

My first 3m di-noc project *revision*
I wasn't happy with the black plastic center tray in the back seats.
I looked at the Think Design CF panel but at $1000 I know that I will never pull the trigger on that part.
I have never used a CF wrap before, I've alway had a thing against imitating a product.
That being said I decided that for $50 (enough for 2 attempts) it wouldn't hurt to be open minded and give it a try.
I didn't do a great job on my first try. I avoided using the primer with the thought that I might mess up so I saved it for my 2nd attempt.
The edges came out pretty bad, lots of wrinkles. I also had a little trouble getting it to stretch and stick to the contures in the middle. Otherwise, I really like the look and I'm really happy I gave this a try!!!
I'm going to do it over and hopefully get it right next time.
Let me know what you guys think and please if anyone has suggestions for me on how to do a better job I would appreciate the input.
And sorry about the really bad iPhone pics in the dark, it was getting late.

I had the same issue, some scratches on the plastic.
I almost went for the silver version but then decided that if it didn't match perfect (and it won't ) I wouldn't like it.
I thought the black would be more suddel and blend well with the seat like the black plastic did.
I could be wrong though. If you try the silver post some pics, I would love to see it.

Looks good... I used a similar material but thinner on my 335's interior and it turned our really good. I bought it from Project 808 but it looks like they are out of business. I'll try to dig up the material I used since it was really easy to work with and already had an adhesive backing so it was literally stick then smooth out.

It takes a minute or less for the entire process.

Let me know if you find the info.
The 3M stuff only gets soft with heat. I had a little trouble when working one corner with the heat and at the same time the heat undoing my work on the other corner. I might have better luck with another set of hands.
I also watched some videos last night and they where heating up the entire sheet before laying it down.
