Super Sports = Traction!
I replaced the MPS1s (OEM on my 2010 Lexus ISF,... anyone else had these come as their stock tires??? Just appears very old and not sure if I was a one-off) this past week with a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, alignment (thanks for the specs lobuxracer!), and 16K km service.
So tires alone solved my dissatisfaction with the ISF's traction. Night & day. I am now enjoying the car since it is able to put power down to the road and turn.
Looking at the MPS1's that were replaced, rears had > 6/32" tread depth and fronts were just shy of 6/32". So there was "life" left to them. If anyone else is using MPS1's on their ISF, STOP and buy a set of MPSS
Looking forward to the track day on Friday now. Will certainly post pics and video.

I had the MPS1's when I bought my car ...and I hated them with a passion. They still had tread(7k miles) but the slipped everywhere. I am more than happy with my Conti DW, it also helps that I upsized it

PS1? No. PS2s came stock. PS's are ancient and only good for museum pieces at this late date. Tire Rack has them in one size only.
Glad to hear you like the PSS. I'll be needing tires sometime fairly soon and have been trying to decide between PSS and something else. Hard to argue with PSS pricing. Great tires at even better prices.

Agreed that PS1's are ancient! Took advantage of Tire Rack's $70 off for MPSS too. Great tire. Very consistent with everyone's thoughts & experiences.
What are the other contending tires up for consideration?

I'm a long way off, but I'll be replacing my Bridgestone RE050A's with most likely the Michelin PSS, being a daily driver only. Just the weight savings alone should be a great performance increase! Even if I upsized to 245/275, they'd still be lighter than my OEM set up.

Even happier about recently ordering a new set of MSS after reading this thread :-) Just wish we had tire rack prices over here...
I paid $1750, which was still nice after facing $2200 as the first offer.
For me the choice was made over Continental SportContact 5Ps.

curious if OP did the upsized widths 275/245? or oem sizing...
also great to hear this sounds like it changed your impressions of the F drasticly from what I can gather..... Although now I'm sad that I decided to wait till AFTER my first track day in 6 days to order the MPSS's and will be on my OEM Potenza's....

Have been using the PSS 245/275 for about 5000km to replaced only 5000km used OEM PS2, here is my thought:
1. Tire Wear - PSS > PS2
2. Quietness - PSS = or > PS2
3. Dry Traction - PSS < PS2
4. Wet Traction - PSS > PS2
5. Value - PSS > PS2
Will I buy PSS again? Probably not, for street tires I know what RE11 can hold up to, I want better dry traction,
I want a bit stiffer sidewall, and I can trade off some quietness and weight saving to RE11 next.
2nd gear under WOT will be a bit fish tailing, and yes tires are warmed up on dry road, Traction control is off,
sorry but I think PSS traction is not good enough for me, but it is still one of the best value/performance summer tires I used for all around purpose.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Versus Bridgestone Potenza: My '12 came with the Potenzas. They are reasonably sticky, the car handles well with high speed corning, etc.
I am curious if anyone has had the opportunity to compare the two tire options.
