Could not track the F this weekend, so tracked the 3
Tires will be coming in the coming week (MPSS) along with a journey to the dealer for fluid changes and a new aligment for the F. If anyone has a good street/track setup for an alignment, PLMK!
This past Saturday, several Vancouverites braved the elements and drove down to Shelton, WA for a trackday at the Ridge Motorsports Park (RMSP). This was my first time there and it's been highly hyped by the track community in the PNWR.
This was my first time there and it's a fantastic track. 16 turns, a few blind corners, good elevation changes and crests. There were enough straights to make the use of more HP.
Will try and take the F out on April 6th/7th.
For now, I only have video of my 3 at RMSP.
Here are some pictures and video:
3 Vancouverites at the Shelton Inn
Vancouverites packing up after an enjoyable day (note the sunny weather)
Vancouverites pitting for gas and air for tires before journey home. Little did they know they were about to head into a snowstorm(!) Thankfully, everyone was ok. Completely snow covered roads and traffic on I5 was 20 - 30mph.

I know the GT3 is a different monster entirely, but I had a 997 C4S last winter for about a month and it made me fall in love with Porsche. No question if its not my next car, it will be the one following.

Honestly, these cars are pretty indestructible and you'll be surprised how cheap they are to maintain. Now friends who track their Ferrari's/Lambo's are in a different stratosphere. THOSE consumables are an arm and a leg.
The used market for the GT3s in the US look attractive. So much car for the $. Aren't 997.1 GT3's ('07 & '08) less than an ISF in the US?

It is more technical than SIR/Pacific Raceways. Pacific Raceways has a longer straight. I hit 270km/hr at the end of the straight at PR. I am hitting 238km/hr at the end of the straight at the Ridge. PR - 10 turns if you count the kink. 16 turns at the Ridge and more higher speed turns. Both have neat elevation changes. Both are fantastic tracks, but the Ridge at the moment, does not have many areas if you go off-track. Good reason to not drive 9/10ths.
I'll be at the Ridge on April 6th with the ISF & GT3. Would be awesome to see another F out there. There are many M3's I'd like to try and catch.
