Default Iphone integration 2008 ISF

Can anyone comment on the best approach to connecting your Iphone 4 to your F. (2008). Are there any Bluetooth options, I would love to stream Pandora as well as listen to some audio I have saved on the device.

Just learning the site so sorry if this has been asked before.

Could you rephrase this post using a question mark at some point.

lol, yes can we please not lose our high school level writing skills? This indeed the IS-F section is it not?

In regards to the original questions there's several threads about it already, search function is your friend. There's three main options,. Aux, Bluetooth adapter, or integration systems. Aux is pretty self explanatory.

LOL. Can you please capitalize letters at the beginning of your sentences?

I meant that I wasn't exactly sure what his question was.

In short... In the 2008 you can only use the bluetooth for phone calls. To get music from a portable device you have to go wired (Aux, or iPod interface kit). In later years the bluetooth supports music streaming, 2008 does not.

forum died for a while... here are some links

if you want most basic song integration and iphone charging, i say sl2i-up, simple, cost effective, and solid
http://www.vaistech.com/dev/sl2i.php

if you want to go fancy on interface and quality, ml+ is the answer
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...sl2i-user.html

if you want flexibility, meis is a great choice

Sorry for the poor grammar and lack of caps I was typing a bit fast. Thank you for the responses, I'll take a look at each of these options. At a quick glance the VAIS appears to be the best option.

In my arm rest middle console I have a blackberry bluetooth stereo gateway (google for pics) that works great. Just use your arm rest charger and plug it into the aux port. Its all hidden and no one can see it. It allows for wireless iTunes-pandora-xm radio sound to play in your car speakers.

I have one of these. Does it work with the iPhone? I never tried it!

I actually did a how to on the BMW forum for this. In case anyone is wondering how this works, here's my example video on youtube.

The only reason I went with the Vais system is because you can still have your phone connected for bluetooth calls, but control the Iphone with the steering wheel controls like a built in HD. Best of both world for us 08-09 guys!

i think the ml+ is the way the go....i had one of the other (less expensive) ones from vais....my issue was that you couldn't fully control songs or see the info on songs when in motion (safety feature, like lexus navi).....so i upgraded to the ml+....it's the only vais one with full control while in motion
