should I swap my E92M3 for a IS-F?
im a long time member on this forum, and I've had both the EU Spec IS200 and the IS250.
I sold the 250 for a 02 M3, which I sold last year for a 08 full spec M3 MT.
heres the deal, the E92 cost me a little over 120K USD - yes crazy car taxes here, but the government did some changes this year, resulting in the IS-F getting alot cheaper now.
(The IS-F used to be about 140K USD.)
So now, I can pretty easily sell my M3, get a '08 IS-F and end up with about 35K to spare in my pocket..
anyone else here that did the swap? either way?

I think thatd be a fun trade getting the money back. However, a manual M3 coupe is def going to be sportier than the F. You are trading a car youve owned/know for a car equally as old, owned by an unknown driver..

The F is going to cost less in the long run. But the M3 is a much more fun machine to drive at the limits IMO. It is a tough call since I am looking to order a 212 M3 since it's the last of the NA M GmbH monsters built for a while. All in all, it depends on how you feel and how you drive. For me, I would keep the M and possibly get an IS-F as a daily.....just me lol
Good luck either way! You will be happy with either F or M

Honestly, from purely a driving excitement standpoint, I would go with the E92 M3 over the ISF anyday. With reliability and practicality in mind, I would go for the ISF.
I'm not sure how unbiased your answers would be though on this board. This is a ISF forum afterall....

Even though your decision is already made... Just to add further support: My best friend and I took our cars to a San Antonio Raceway to make some runs down the quarter mile. I drive an 08 ISF and he drives an 08 M3 Sedan. I'm fully bolted and he's stock both on street tires. I drove both cars and I don't know if it's an isolates issue with his particular car or most 08+ M3s but the wheel hop off the line was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I thought I was driving an early model 350Z, it was actually even worse than that. Either way, I had to launch at idle or I would melt the tires even with heating them up right before. I ran a 12.6 @ 117. I think his best was like a 13.9 @ 107. Granted I'm fully bolted and he's stock... But that wheel hop was terrible. The ISF just nicely spins soo much soo that I can't really feel the tires spinning, just the feel and dynamics of the car letting me know.
