Well if gearing is affected, hence not hitting the rev limiter, hence the lower mph, hence the lower ET! This is really confusing.

Not hitting the rev limiter does not automatically mean that gearing has been hindered.

Only 3 things I can think of at this point

1. DA and/or conditions were worse
2. You didn't drive the car as well.
3. The car was heavier.

There is another event on the 30th.. either will try again or just use the stock 19 PSS tires... you think I should use 18'' front tires?

Unless the new fronts are lighter, they wont make a difference.

Have you weighed your 17'' setup?

I am using IS300 17 inch rims... and the 275/40 MT...my initial guess was that they shud be lighter.

How wide are the rims, and what does MT say about rim width for those tires? If the rims are too narrow, it will definitely reduce traction from being too soft, if they're too wide, you could lose traction because they're stretched and the sidewalls are too stiff. Gotta find the happy balance....

Lance - what about putting more pressure in the front tires if you can't use lighter wheels? That should reduce rolling resistance a bit - is it worth messing with? Thanks!

Fronts are not going to make a big difference if you haven't sorted out the rear. Getting the rear air pressure/width issues solved will have a huge impact.

well MT states that rim shud be 9.0-11.0 and I guess IS300 17'' rims and smaller... well back to PSS's then.

Except he's in UAE, so it could be the 2IS, not the 1IS, so we don't really know what they are for sure. Which IS300 are we talking about?

Corrected for UAE market IS300..

17 x 8.0-in 10-spoke alloy wheels (Still shocked to hear these clear the BBK)

or maybe these... (removed 3 other 17 wheel options for the @2IS)
LoL

2IS rims.. the first one on Joe's post.. no problems with clearnace!.. problem is that they are heavier than 11' ISF rims and are not within MT specs. thats the reason for the worse times i guess..
