Default Cusco Hybrid diff?

Saw this was thinking about this vs the OS Giken.

http://vipautosalon.com/store/index....isf-lsd-hybrid

Seems to be a good 600$ of savings if the OS is 2500

Anyone ever hear of someone installing it?

Bump...saw this as well. Anyone one have any input. It's close to $1000 cheaper than the OS Giken.

Do either of you have aftermarket diffs installed in your Supras?

I don't. My Supra is BPU only so not pushing crazy power. I'm pretty happy with my stock Torsen, but I've heard a clutch type LSD is much better.

Initial costs of the Cusco Hybrid LSD will be lower than the OS Giken TCD but the overall lifecycle costs will likely be much higher with the Cusco LSD if the clutch packs require frequent rebuilds. The clutch packs in the OS Giken are built to never require an overhaul.

I also believe the fluid change intervals are more frequent with the Cusco LSD (every 10,000 miles vs 30,000 miles for the OS Giken).

Redspencer is correct, it is cheaper initially but it will be more expensive in the long run.

I have an ATS Carbon and love it but I have to do oil changes in it every 3-4k since its a carbon clutch disk.
