Default How are you taking your tires to the track?

Are most of you using a trailer, back seat, or SUV?

I am about to create this if I do not like the alternatives so much. Thoughts?

That is hideous and has to be unsafe, especially the corvette. Can a corvette roof hold that much weight? Actually that might get rid of the rear view mirror vibration issue.

LOL at these posts. Cover your backseat with towels or something and use the trunk and backseat man

Yes it can. They even had enough time to take a picture.
I am sorry you do not know how to fix your rear view mirror. Tires on a roof was not the solution we used.

You're kidding me right? I know I was..

As for the Corvette, two blue bungee cords holding down 4 wheels with tires. Could they fly on a sudden stop? That's my point. To me it looked a little photo-chopped, but hey who am I to question the content of your post.... Only thoughts supporting the idea are welcomed, I guess.

Just build / buy a small trailer...

Any car can easily tow a small trailer weighing less than 500 lbs..

This is a better solution. Ideal for exactly what you want.

After a little digging around, the Harbor Freight trailer is pretty popular for this and VERY inexpensive.

yep i would get one of those small trailers as mentioned above^^^^ you really wouldn't want anything on your roof....that just doesn't seem safe at all to me + getting the heavy wheels & tires up there can be a hassle too...but yeah, i use to do 2 in the trunk and two on the backseats with some sort of cover (not the isf btw but previous vehicles iv'e had)

Yeah when I had my Sti I used to just put two in the trunk and two in the back seats with towels.

Thanks for the last 4 replies. I have a custom rear diffuser on the way that would not allow me to hitch a trailer either. I will hold off on this project, maybe an is250/350 guy will try it first. But, my wheel/tire setup is light, only 150 pounds for all 4. Not bad!
