AutoX'ing the IS-F video.
This was my 1st SCCA Solo event in the IS-F. My car before this was a heavily modified STi that I won 2 SM class championships (regional) with.
It took some time to get use to the RWD and street tires while sliding the car around. My time wasn't great but was the top car on street tires. IMHO, if you wanted to get the IS-F competitive in Solo, its going to cost a bunch.
AutoX/Solo events are a ton of fun and highly recommend for anybody that likes to have fun with their car. While the temptation is great, I'm actually going to keep this car stock and will do a few more events next year.
Here's the IS-F: http://youtu.be/-t1J9J5PUlw
For comparison sake only, here's another video of the STi during a Solo.:

In three words or less... Not so good...lol...She is a little heavy and wide for the short tight courses in most autoX. That said i have gone against some pretty formidable vehicles (Z06's and M3's as well as Boxters), with some damn good drivers and won. It is very good in the straights, not so good on tight entry's, the suspension tends to wallow a bit and the front end is quite the fat girl in that she does NOT want to turn in very fast, there is a LOT of understeer in this car with the stock 225 front tires. Its a fun car to run and i have personally found that on most courses you are actually better off leaving the TCS on and putting it in sport mode. The reason for this is and illustrated in the above video spinning the tires is wasted time in a game that is decided by 10ths of a second. Stibility control actually seem to help the car turn in better with a lot less push because it is braking the inside wheel helping the vehicle rotate. Hope this helps. Now on a road course this vehicle can really shine, on an AutoX course you will get your *** handed to you by a bunch of honda civics..lol
