Default Wax

Just got done waxing my new ISF yesterday. Wow does it look shiny now! Just curious what types of waxes you guys use? I used the Meguiars NXT generation Tech Shine 2.0, and was really easy to do and looks great!

^I second that! It's a bit expensive, but the results look amazing. Well worth it IMO.

Harly. 100% Carnauba, no additives, fillers, abrasives, or other pollutants. I've used it since the early 80's.

Their website is cheesy, but the wax is awesome.

Collinite 476, Collinite 845, Autoglym HD, Menzerna Powerlock, Blackfire Wet Diamond.

All really good products with Collinite being the most durable.

Chemical Guys stuff is amazing and very affordable. I used to use Meguires stuff. But will never go back to that after using these new found products.

Buffer - Flex orbital or rotary for buffing and polish
PC orbital - to apply wax and remove wax

Buffing compounds - Wolfgang swirl remover or menzerna (various compounds)..(yellow or orange pad)
polishes - menzerna or wolfgang (white or blue pad)
Wax - Wolfgang concours ofcourse and Blackfire sealant after..sometimes some orange dodo juice to boost the pearl (red pad)

Dependant on what you are trying to correct as far as paint defects are concerned I do paint correction as a hobby lol besides my everyday engineering job and you can absolutely change the look of your car with proper correction.. I have done and used many different compounds over coarse of many years.. you learn many tricks and can research online for tips. Detailedimage.com is a great website to gain knoweledge and products for a beginner

We also have a detailing specific forum here. Lots of Lexus specific practical advice.

FWIW, let's not turn this into a detailing thread. I'd have to move it to the detailing forum...
