Just had my tint done at local shop in VA.. They did remove the front 2 door panels

not sure how they did mine... my guess they didn't take anything off... $200 for the whole car.

$160 for the rear and back windows tinted 20% (front tint is illegal here) with life-time warranty...

When i was talking to my service consultant about tints he told me they don't even do the tints themselves. They send it out to a tint shop to have it done..if its getting 3rd party tinted anyways might as well go do the same.

Yeah, I'm thinking $500 isn't worth it for tint considering the rattles that will start and the fact I work nights 4 days a week....

I got the 3M tint on mine all around for $280.

Has anyone tried getting the precut films and doing it themselves on any car?

You have to use quality tint and know what you're doing. You can spot the cheap DIY tint by the purple hue and air bubbles. For a few hundred bucks, it gets done right and you can take it back if there's a screw up.

They sell precut 3m on eBay for $100. It's the same stuff they use in the shops. No one has tried it?
