Default Is this a good deal?? help me decide on car

I've been looking to get another F (sold my first one 6 months ago) , and I found one that belong to a guy that works at a Lexus dealership, it's a 2009 black/black with 21,900 miles, nav/lev ,great shape, no accidents just a couple of spots on the hood, and we agreed to $44,200. Is this a good deal? I think I can get him to sell it to me for $43,000.
The only drawback is that my previous F was the exact same car, so I'm not sure if I want the same color or not , I was hoping I could find a silver one with black. Help me make up my mind.

Really, if you agreed to a price already, I don't think you have the grounds to now demand the price lower (gentleman's agreement). Maybe it doesn't apply everywhere...

If you want a different color, plus you've already owned this color, id say wait. Unless of course you like the color. But I think it's fun to change colors.

I say "no". I bought my '08 nearly a year ago, so I was in a similar situation as you. Mine only had 14k miles with very minor wear and tear on it, and I got it at $42,000.

EDIT: I just found BigMike's for sale on Craigslist for $46,450 at a dealer in Dallas. His was silver. I found one more silver one in Alvin (south Texas) w/ only 26k miles on it, but no price listed. Just fyi. Good luck!

This one is an 09, and I just talked to the guy that owns it, and he told me he'll do it for $43,000. Its also in great shape, perfect interior and other than the bird crap stains on the hood its perfect outside, if it only was a silver one.

I say do it for $43K. Probably most competitive price you'll find this time of year.

All I meant was that the age of the cars is about the same. Mine was almost 2 yrs old when I bought it, and so is the one you are looking at. Mine was also in great shape. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not believe there are any differences b/t the '08 and '09 model years. That is why I think you could get it for $42k.

$43k is still a good deal, but I think you could get it for less.

you also have to take into consideration that the used car market price has gone up since then.

Why has the used car market price increased? The retail cost of the car has gone unchanged (still $65k), so how does the used price increase? The only logical explanation for this is supply/demand curve.

The only difference I know of between the 08 and 09 is the black finish around the navi ,as opposed to the 08 gray trim

As far as prices go, it really depends on your location... Texas probably has the most F's I've ever seen in any state. Good luck finding one in NY.

IMO I got an excellent deal on mine, but consider my situation:
- there were only around 15 selling within a 250mile radius of my zip code
- USB is a very rare color
- it's hard to negotiate when there are barely any others in the area
