Since i got my exhaust installed the head turning has tripled. Pre exhaust only people who knew the F would stare, Now Every one has to take a look to see where that beautiful sound is coming from?

So on to the qeustion. Why does it sound so much better than the stock?

The way that it was perfectly designed for our cars to bring out the natural roar of the monster under the hood.

I also get a ton of looks driving around town.

Now just put headers in front of that PTS and watch the look on their faces as they turn... My friend knows nothing about cars and said, "dude, i didnt know they made a Lex that sounded like that, mad pimp" HA, I got a good laugh.

Unless they told you that every time, they might be defining the sound a bit differently... obnoxious.

I know a few people have expressed their dismay with mine, including my neighbor and a few family members... but I don't really care because it is a beautiful sound in MY ears. lol

that said, I have a plan to quite it down a bit...

Well Im sure some people dont like the sound of a beast roaring down the street. Got flagged down from some guys the other day that wanted to ask about the car. They then asked me to back up and peel out pass them. I happily obliged!

How much louder does the headers make it? I play to do the headers next year.

Between the X pipe location, the lack of two extra cats and the mufflers themselvs thats what makes the sound.
They seem to me like Vibrant manufactured mufflers, but thats just my guess. Not sure if the the mufflers brand are a secret or not, so im not tring to pry-I really dont care.

Sounds good and does tone down a good amount a few weeks after the initial install

Strange, mine got a tad bit louder since new, 1k miles on so far. I would think as they break in, interior coatings etc. burn off, the sound gets a little louder. JMO

It doesnt make it that much louder but it changed the tone of the whole rmp range because its flowing so much better.

Joe's love for Lexus and desire to make F's faster....and he has great customer service, too! The exhaust note is an upgrade from stock, and it makes a huge difference on the roads.
