OEM Replacement: Michelin Pilot Super Sport
#167
I just added the RR Racing USRS and a set of Bridgestone S-04s in the OEM sizes on my 2010. Very pleased so far with wet/dry traction, noise, and handling. Oh yeah, did I mention they were $500 cheaper than the PSS? The advantage of going to a Bridgestone/Firestone store is that they will "absorb" the cost of road hazard, mount/balance/alignment, etc. just to get you to buy a set of tires. Plus there is a $70 rebate now on 4 of the S-04s. Loved the PSS on the car, but for the money, I can ignore the slight difference in performance during my daily drive. The difference in price will pay for 2 new rears!

The rebate is a wash IMO because Michelin runs rebates every year.

I also opted for the S04s; I just got my tires changed for the first time on my ISF since owning it. The original tires were over 6 years old and it was the original PSS and had 35k miles on them with a little bit of thread wear left. I just got my S04s around two weeks ago from my friend who works at Firestone. Hooked me up with a great deal and also had $100 Firestone gift card rebate on top off it. The tires grip really well so far and has a higher threadwear rating for a cheaper price. No brainer.

I was planning on replacing my worn and cracked Pilot Spot A/S2s with OEM-sized PSS, however there is apparently a national backorder (Canada) for the front size (225-40-19 XL) with no ETA on new stock.
So, I opted to size up to the 235/40 and 265/35 setup. I have yet to test them out to provide feedback, but the setup is visually appealing on my '12+ wheels, IMO. Unfortunately, stepping up to this size cost a pretty penny, so next up I might switch to the more cost-effective Bridgestone S04.

I have this exact set up of 235 and 265. And I know about that backorder too. They are scheduled to ship on May 11th.
The 265s are perfect, no problems at all there. I actually have the Porsche OEM 265 that has the tread width of a 275, but I saw on tirerack that these are no longer showing up on their webpage. The 235s are almost perfect, you can just notice a BIT more sidewall, but with your wider rims that might wrap them a bit. Overall though the set up is great if not a bit pricey.
