True statement that it was the Borla that finally got me over 400whp on the dynojet that I've always used. Coincidence or not I'm happy with the power.

I just pulled the trigger on the borla. It was too tempting at just over 900. I just want some addl volume. So hopefully this will get me what I'm looking for. I have a srt8 jeep and had a borla on it for a second or two, but it droned so badly that I had to get rid of it. I ended up going with a corsa which sounds amazing.

Can you see the exhaust pipes from the Borla exhaust. I distinctly remember seeing the shiny JoeZ exhaust when a JoeZ equipped ISF was pulling away..

Ive got the borla-Sikky combo. I love the sound and performance. When I have clients-coworkers in the car, the roar is slightly embarrassing. I couldn't image it being louder for my use.

^^^ Do you have aftermarket cats or cat-less? If cat-less, will installing aftermarket cats dampen the sound a bit, you think?

I currently have Sikkys on stock exhaust and have purposely not upgraded to an aftermarket exhaust due to worries about sound.

Yes installing cats absolutely dampens the sound. I had high flow cats installed on my JoeZ exhaust and it was drastically quieter, but having seen some cat failures I didn't want to go that route again. Lucky for me the Borla is comfortable enough that I haven't considered cats again.

I've since removed my mid mufflers on my Borla cutback. I LOVE the sound now, but am having a hard time capturing it on video for the people that have asked.

Reading all of these posts makes me even more anxious! I ordered my Borla from StreetSide on Monday and it'll be here tomorrow, and my PPE headers should be in-hand in about 3 weeks. Can't wait!!

Is the Borla cat back a twin 2.25" or 2.5" system?

And what is the Joe Z size in comparison?

Thanks.

Summit Racing's website says the Borla is 2.25", but everywhere else says 2.5". And the Joe-Z is definitely 2.5".
