Default Is there going to be a Gen3 IS-F in 2014/2015?

In the 2 Gen section, everyone is anticipating the Gen3 IS will be available in 2013.

Will Lexus release Gen3 IS-F in 2013 as well?

I'm confident we will see a next gen IS F, the only question is if they will offer it in a coupe version.

^I second that. It would compete well against the M3 coupe for sure, but the seating configuration is already like a coupe, so it'll be even tighter for rear passengers. And I don't think the C63 is offered in coupe form either. It looks damn good as a sedan already, but the hood bulge and large look of the front might look like a weak body kit if there were to be an IS F coupe.

I hope they do offer a coupe, and reduce a little weight doing so. To compete with the M3, their closest competition, they need a sedan and a coupe.

^double that, but it won't happen. Manuals are an endangered species.

The ISF's paddle shifters are far superior to a traditional manual transmission. Ferrari has done away with traditional manuals in lieu of robust, responsive paddle shifting.

I'm even hesitant to say "if it's good enough for Ferrari, it's good enough for the ISF" because that makes it sound like you're giving a lot up with the ISF's "sport direct shift" transmission over a traditional manual transmission, but really it's just the opposite. The ISF's paddle shifting is flat out superior to traditional manual transmissions.

the C class is receiving a coupe soon. An amg version (maybe black series) will follow shortly afterwards. An IS-F coupe isnt out of the question but I think it'll be much farther in the future than just the next generation of IS-F

Id be down with a coupe... I don't sit in the back seat
i do think there is some room for improvement... brakes that don't squeak, better navi & ipod system, better ride (people say the 2011 is better),throttle response... these could all use some work in my opinion.

I was hoping that they would release all IS models (ISx50/F) for the next generation at the same time. I don't see why this would be hard to do. I don't want them to release the ISx50 series first to where I'm like "Oh my goodness! That new ISx50 is so hot! Can't wait for that new style on the F!" It all has to do with marketing I guess.

A refresh in 2013.........SURE!!!! What I want to see

1) Fixed steering column paddle shifters...think Lambos
2) Steering wheel red line indicator
3) More Recaro style bucket seats.

Better yet if they could copy the Porsche GT2 RS interior cockpit...that'll work just fine

I think a coupe would look great.

Things that I'd like to see on the next gen IS-F are:

- reduced curb weight
- AFS going away; it's useless to me and it's just more stuff to go wrong....
- LED headlights?
- a third pedal
- more unique exterior colors....the colors offered today (besides USB) are low key and not really unique

Performance-wise, this is absolutely right. But, in terms of fun (subjective I Know) you can't beat a clutch and shifter. Thats why a lot of companies that claim to be pure-driving companies continue to offer them. I'll gladly sacrifice a few 10ths of a second on a roadcourse for the added fun.

As far as a Gen3 ISF, i hope they offer some kind of adjustable suspension.
