Is there going to be a Gen3 IS-F in 2014/2015?

All comments seem to deal with appearance, which has already been determined....Where is info about engine updates? Will it really have 450+/- HP (more than current model)? Will it be V-8? Will it be V-6 with twin turbos? If going after M-3 it does need more power...Also, hope decision has been made to offer air cooled, or air conditioned front seats (which were not available on previous IS-F's)...Should not create that much loss of power for a luxury vehicle.

Just was reading the latest Motor Trend mag with the NEW Stingray ( C7) on the cover and of course the next gen IS 350/250, that will be released later this year. Just from what i have read about the new Sting Ray, I think it will be a hell of a car for the money, performance and gas saving have never mixed together well...in the past. The current trend among car manufacturers seems to be keeping the V-8 and deactivating 4-cylinders to save on fuel when driving around town.
I believe Lexus will keep the V-8 in the next gen IS-F and use the deactivating method.
As far as the next IS250/350, the front end looks hideous, i get they wanted to make a bold muscular statement, they need to tone it down a bit.
I like the interior space, very similar to the Infinti Q50. I you haven't seen the new Q50, pretty sweet car.

I was at the Philly Auto Show and the Lexus Product Specialists were saying that the rumors they were hearing was there might not be a next gen IS-F. Now imagine if that were true, our cars would turn into a collectors item. I think however that would be a bad move for Lexus...

BMW E30 M3 (1st generation M3), there was only about 5000 brought into the US, and 16,000 approximately world wide. With that said, the E30 M3 is now almost 30 years old, and only now are you starting to see prices on the rise. There supposedly is less than 1500 left in the US. That's with 5000!
I bet there are at least 5,000, if not more, IS Fs in the US as we're probably the biggest market for this car.

doubt it, who cares anyways... it's pretty much the same as any IS sedan out IMO. My F doesn't sparkle the magic in me like my mk4 did.
30 years from now we'll be selling our houses to afford the gas to drive the thing.

Can't be a collectors item...sorry...and if it did, you gotta wait 30 years. Why? There are over 11,000 supposedly IS-Fs sold world wide...

Japan and Australia would have more ISFs if it were not for the fact that the car can run $120,000 to $140,000.

This is a quote from an Autoweek review of the 2013 (2012) ISF posted this morning:
There's a new IS F coming, just around the corner -- a year or so, Lexus says. Lexus also says that the car will take inspiration not from the regular IS F, nor the BMW M3 that it targets, but specifically from the IS-F Circuit Sports Club Racer that Ken Gushi drove, and will drive again, up Pikes Peak. It's a ferocious, noisy, wing-bedecked thing, featuring the same drivetrain as the current IS F but weighing in approximately 500 pounds lighter.

I'd like to believe that. It was my #1 wish for the new F - much lighter!

I'll add another person's input into the mix. From Takayoshi Hiei, the man behind Tommykaira Japan told me, "I have heard the new IS-F is scheduled for release in 2014 and is a candidate for Tommykaira development."
