that we could agree on.. i'll give you this though.. throughout car history, anything with a factory tuning brand ( r/t, nismo, etc..) usually gets special attention and is collectable.. so i could be wrong.. see you in 10-15 years..

I agree on that as well, only time will tell and the F-sport thing is a huge kick in the nuts to us. But, I wouldn't get hung up on the ISx50 thing. Most of those people that think it's an F-sport or a standard ISx50 are never going to be the people looking to buy them as classic cars down the road. My 68' GTX and the roadrunner are both Plymouth Belvedere upgrades. It's the same concept as taking the IS platform and creating a performance model. The cutlass 442 that was mentioned is a prime example, even a GNX..... I'm sure back when those cars were new the owners got the same comments from "Bob the highschool gym teacher" that lives next door who owned the 6 cylinder model. When I educate the average person on what the ISF is they are typically pretty intrigued. It is also true that when all the ISx50s are long gone in 20 years the ISF will stand on its own.

Just thinking it as the GT350 R of the IS line up . It's rare , special , powerful, and historically significant . It's the first F car

I think the collectible nature of the 08-14 ISF has as much to do with Toyotas future F car brand development as the special nature of this particular car.
Kind of how my college diploma looks better now that our football team is doing well.

I don't think it'll be a collectible since the RC-F is already on the roads. It's not like the legendary Supra

I don't see ISF prices getting below 20k . There is nothing like it on the market if you want a Japanese car . They are very limited , there is a cult following it seems ( just look at the Facebook pages of the owners . The car dominates it usually ), and the world is leaving NA V8s in the rear view . It's rare and special

I'm not really that mad about the f-sport line. It's the same for Audi (s-line) and BMW (m-line). None of those affected the value of the real performance line cars.

So here we are....

Funny thing is MATADORBP2 is my old handle, i made this post 5 years ago, don't have the email address, or password associated with it, so i just made a new handle....

And even funnier i just bought my next IS-F, 2011 USB with Alpine interior today. One owner, all stock, perfect.

Prices have not dropped one bit, with the exception of the beat up modified high mile examples. Even those haven't dropped much. Ive watched these very close over the last 5 years. This will be a car like the Integra Type R, which clean nice examples are selling well over $30,000.00. Yes a 16 year old INTEGRA over 30,000.00. Don't believe me look at bringatrailer.com....

Buy up the clean IS-Fs guys, keep em clean, and don't **** with them, you'll thank me in 10 years.... LOL!
