I've decided I am going to take the ISF instead of a rental. I just set up a facebook to track our progress! I also decided it would be cool to look for sponsors, chances are slim but its worth a try
I feel it's a good marketing opportunity as we will be covering 3 weeks over 6000 miles, visiting popular tourist destinations so there is quite a bit of exposure. We are males in our mid 20's which fits in most companies target demographics. We are medical professionals not punks who will reflect badly on whatever brand we are representing. We can put vinyl stickers on the car, wear shirts, use products etc. We can have sponsorships in the form of products (drinks, foods, clothes) or financially to help with expenses. We are going to be careful not to have conflicting sponsors to be fair to anyone who may be helping us out.
We also plan on covering the event several ways.
1. We are going to have a live tracker so anyone who is interested can see where we are and where we have been via a Google map. This will be updated every few seconds assuming we have cell reception.
2. We will be posting Facebook/Twitter/youtube updates as we go. We are going to be setting up a page specifically for this trip. We will have a laptop in the car so we can upload video and pictures as we go. I'll be bringing my DSLR along for pics/HD video.
we already have one company that expressed interest

We officially have our first sponsor: Helix. They make energy drink mixes which will be great since we could use all the energy we can get! We've also decided to extend the trip to 3 weeks
