Try this. Take the car to the 1/4 mile. If you run 14s its broken

WTF? There's no transmission temperature gauge on the F. The oil temp guage is for ENGINE oil. And at 20 degrees F, the engine won't get fully warm even after 45 minutes of operation - I know this because I saw it last weekend when it was in the 20's in Atlanta. A 45 minute drive and I still only saw two bars on the engine oil temp gauge. Normal is three bars.

The transmission takes EVEN LONGER to warm up. You guys thinking the engine warms up in 10 - 15 minutes are smoking crack. The COOLANT warms up that fast, but the OIL will still be colder than it should be, and the oil getting to the parts needing it is the most important function an engine's lubrication system performs. The gearbox has its own radiator, and it will NEVER get warm if the OAT is below freezing.

Sorry, but your problem is based on two things - low temperature and (possibly) low fluid level. There are few other issues which might cause the problem you're experiencing.

From what you've posted so far, it seems your transmission is fine. As for the times when it shifted slow you simply didn't meet the criteria (load/rpm/tp) for the pcm to perform the task. Enjoy your F !

I've noticed this too.

I attempted to launch in M + Sport mode, VSC disabled recently.

Weirdest thing happened:

- Full throttle from a standstill, rear tires slipped a little
- Kept on 100% throttle, but either I missed the shift beep or it didn't go off, but either way, bounced off the rev limiter for probably 1-2 seconds before shifting to 2nd.
- Upon shifting into 2nd, the transmission had a huge 2-3 second delay before engaging to 2nd. I noticed this because I had time to look down at the cluster to see "2" only to have the transmission slam into 2nd gear after the delay.
- Full throttle shifting from 2-3 and 3-4 were normal "M" mode shifts.

Anyone else have had this issue before?

I've noticed some delayed shiffting when in M mode and using the paddles. Seems when you upshoft the car will go into the next gear on the dashboard but won't in real life for a small bit. I will hit the paddle before the rev limiter and the rpm's are still going up. I use the stick to shift i seems to work fine. I have decided to take my foot off the gas for that split moment while upshifting and it seems to work much better when not a full load of gas. Just my expereince. And when in norma "D" mode the tranny feels so lazy when you take your foot off the gas, to upshift. It's like ok I'm in 3rd gear foot off the gas.......4th gear.........5th gear...6th..7th. I have had a couple times where it hung up in 4th for a little while and I had to speed up again for it to upshift. Mahbe just a glich but I think even now people still haven't %100 figured this tranny out.

I didn't know after a certain amount of time you couldn't respond to a thread. And I used the "search" feature to find it which you are supposed to do. Any other smart comments you'd like to make?
