Miles per tank?

You want performance and mileage, buy a C6 Corvette with a 6 speed manual. I averaged 22 city/29 highway @ 75-80mph (not some wimpy 60-65mph). Over 450 miles on a tank of gas on the highway.
I know it's no Lexus, but I loved driving mine. It was a 3LT version loaded with Nav, big brakes and electronically adjustable suspension. Rode like a Cadillac on soft, perfect for in town, and very firm on "sport", perfect for the open highway. 400hp/400tq and the power delivery was very broad. I could live with the squeaks and noises by just turning up the stereo and blasting down the road.

Much better numbers
Wow...as little as 220 to 300 per tank!!...obviously a lot of different driving styles...BUT, I'm liking the numbers MUCH better now....anything between 250and 300 is awesome! Thanks guys!

-wider tires, had they not endangered the no-gas-guzzler status
-higher rev limit and more power, had it not endangered the 200,000 mile reliability standard
-nav that operates while driving, had the lawyers not been involved
I'm not really complaining about the first two; but they are interesting choices...those two combined would have made the IS-F arguably the fastest car in the class and STILL the least expensive...

THEORETICALLY: If you look at the thread I started about highway MPG and this website you should be able to get over 300 miles on a tank if you drive at a moderate pace without any speed runs or starting and stopping excessively.

Fuel tank capacity: 16.9 gal.
Range in miles (cty/hwy): 270.4/388.7 mi.
EPA mileage est. (cty/hwy): 16/23 mpg
Keep in mind that several members have been able to get 26-28mpg on the highway pretty easily which would also raise your range quite a bit. Placing you well over 400 if you are on a very long stretch from tank to tank.

I'm good for 320 miles per tank till ZERO and then I usally go past another 10 miles..
Im 90% fwy and 10% city.. with no real WOT runs...
Differences for me is that my 32 mile trip in the morning is completed in 35 mins, going 70-75 mph
While my 32 mile trip in the evening takes 1hr 20 mins in slow LA traffic doing like 35 mph + or -...

Last year, I was successful of passing the 30 mark on a trip from Chicago to the North Woods of Wis. Naturally, only during the highway portion could this be possible.
After stop and go local traffic, it started coming down to more realistic numbers.
With the reserve capabilities of the vehicle, I think 500 is achievable, but the vigilant driving and nerve-wracking conclusion would not be worth it.

pulling out my receipts from a trip to st george utah, which is right around 365 miles from my house to our hotel, then a short trip to the gas station i took 12.011 gallons of gas. quick math puts that right 30.3 mpg. looking at the receipt from fill up from our home town, to check in time receipt we average about 71mph on this journey.
usually, most of my driving is in the city, and during the week my longest trip is 15 miles one way, with my average trip being less than 3 miles. depending on how spirited my driving is, i can average anywhere from 12mpg or 18mpg.
