I had traded in an '07 Cayman S (manual) earlier this year for the IS-F, for 3 main reasons: 4 doors and rear seats for my toddler, and automatic transmission so that my wife can drive it if needed. Otherwise I would have stuck with the CS.

I loved the handling and looks of the Cayman, but I never had the opportunity to drive it much, since the birth of my son. I had sold it with less than 7500 miles after 3 years.

To me, it's a very different feel. The CS was a more raw and hard core sports car, whereas the ISF is a more refined (and very fast) sport sedan. I do miss the CS occasionally and hope to own another Porsche in the future, but for now the ISF just suits my needs much better.

Sounds like you may be more of a luxury sport sedan kind of guy, with the TL in your background. I had an '01 Audi S4 which I took to the track, but also put on snow tires/wheels during the winter to take up to 4 other friends to the mountains to go boarding. It was one of my favorite single vehicles due to its all round versatility. But when I had the CS, I also had an SUV and another vehicle for hauling or commuting or trips to the mountains. As much as I loved the CS, I don't think I could have lived with it as a single vehicle.

So, it also depends on your lifestyle, whether you have other vehicles, and what you're looking for.

I do have a Toyota Pickup to drive when its bad out. I used to have a 94 TT Supra and that was my last sports car since the Cayman. I love the looks and feel of the Cayman, but I do worry about the reliablility of it. I know Lexus and Acuras are very reliable. I do miss the Luxury feel that I had with the TL and I know the Lexus would be the best of both worlds with performance and luxury. I have loved the way the IS-F has looked every since it has come out. I think the Cayman is going to get listed soon. I'm not in a huge hurry to sell it, but it will be sitting pretty soon anyway once winter hits. Thanks for alll the help.
