But really did you put straight 100 octane in @ $8.99 a gallon?

$6.39 per gallon. I never filled up on higher octane before, but noticed the mpg went up while coasting on the freeway. Usually it reads somewhere in the 20-25mpg range if I'm cruising, but it was reading in the 25-30mpg range.

No. None of them are worth anything at all.

Will the car actually be able to use it though? There probably is no gain with 100 octane vs. 93 octane. It is doubtful that you'll gain 5mpg with more octane also. You're probably just driving smoother because it costs so much per gallon. LOL.

I ran some, mixed to 95 octane, didn't notice a difference in this car. It really depends on the vehicle, ambient air temp, tuning, etc.

LOL I put in 1/2 a tank with 93 octane a few weeks back, all it did was hurt my MPG. I couldn't keep my foot out of it. But who knows if it did anything. Cost $6.89/gallon here.
