30k maintenance
Disclaimer (too lazy to look in my manual)
Have any of you done your 30k maintenance? Is it necessary or one of those "check fluid levels" type of maintenance? If it's the latter I rather just take it to an independent shop.

I'm due for my 30K service and was wondering the same thing. I think they quoted me around $550 or so for the complete service. This is from a Lexus dealer. It seems like all they do is a whole lot of checking fluids...and they test drive the car. Oh, and change the oil. I passed on it, and got the normal service ($185). Every time I walk out of there I feel like they "F" me...and not in the good way.

Yes, I meant the dealer. I live in Southern CA, and go to a Lexus dealership in Glendale. The "Normal" service (sorry for the proper name) includes fluid checks and oil change, and car wash (that they can't do on my car because of the splitters and it being lowered).
