Do your front tires look like this? Tire wear and alignment thread
So my Michelin PS2 have ~18,000 miles on them. The rears seem to be wearing perfectly even but the fronts are shot on the inside edge and the outside edge is wearing quite a bit too.
I know I need new tires NOW so please spare me with the "you waited too long".
Tire pressure has always been monitored and adjusted appropriately. The car was aligned multiple times as a result of the inherent right side pull until it was fixed by replacing the brackets for caster (warranty).
Is the factor alignment what is giving me strange tire wear on the front? Should I have the toe changed when I align it for the new tires?
Thanks in advance.
Pics:
Front: (both left and right look exactly the same)
Center wear, probably 1/16th till the wear bar.
Rear: Nice and even.
Thoughts?

This is NORMAL (unfortunately).....my 08 MM ISF had this same issue, I was lucky and was able to convince the Regional Mgr to replace my front tires (along with 4 new wheels due to the brake pitting). Since that time, they have stopped doing both afaik.
Just today (ironically), on my 09 SP ISF I noticed that the fronts were starting to wear at the same rate/pattern. I have right at 9,200 miles.
Not sure we can do anything about it.

Andy, Is it possible that this wear is due to 'spirited' driving?
I know myself that it's tempting to corner faster since the F handles so well.
Just a thought.
If this is due to poor alignment or poor parts on the car from the factory, then I'm not pleased about that at all.
I went thru a similar issue on my '03 Infiniti Coupe which exhibited similar issues to the 350Z front suspension issues at the time. Trouble with that was that Infiniti didn't ever acknowledge the problem with the Infiniti coupe like they did with the Z.
After 3 sets of tires and countless alignments, and some lamebrain excuses, I got rid of it....
Colin.

Totally stock suspension. I know the outside wear is likely from spirited driving as suggested but that doesn't explain the inside wear. I guessing toe and know these cars are very limited on their suspension adjustments. I don't want to give up turn in for tire wear as I like how the car handles and still feel 18k miles is acceptible for an extreme performance summer tire. I guess this is normal. Sure beats the 10k miles I used to get on the rears of my 911.

The toe on my car was significantly off but I still managed 25K miles on the stock Bridgestones. Correcting the toe settings hasn't fixed the inherent right side pull so my next dealer visit will be a warranty call for the revised caster brackets.

Mine showed cord on the inside at ~23k. I like the turn in, and 23k is acceptable to me. Otherwise I'd be adding a touch of toe in. The rears are still doing well and are still legal. They'll probably make 30k despite two track weekends on them.
