been reading through all the threads about this on the ISx50... wish it was possible for us but lobuxracer mentioned we have a BEAN (not sure what that means) ECU so we can't...
i just came up with a thought... is there a way to instead putting a switch on the fog light themselves, but putting a switch for the headlights so that the ECU thinks the headlights are on but the switch would control the headlights, and the parking lights and foglights would turn on, and the switch would be used to have the headlights actually off? just a thought...

BEAN = Body Electrical Area Network. It allows control of devices by a network instead of individual wires for controlling things like the lights, windows, and locks. It actually reduces the wire harness weight pretty significantly.

I am looking to do this foglight mod "ie. turning on foglights without turning on the low beam" on my 2009 ISF.
Read through almost all the threads and doesn't look like anyone had sucess with the ISF.
Also, later models ISX50 doesn't seem to work either.
Before I attempt, can someone confirm they have sucessfully do this mod with the ISF?
Thank you.

I'm pretty sure that it hasn't been successfully done but when I have installed a new foglight assembly on friends cars I just tapped in to the turn signal power wire and used that to power on the foglight. The only down side that I seen when I tapped in to the power wire for the turn signals is that anytime that your turn signal flashes when locking and unlocking your doors the foglight flashes too. it doesn't flash when you use your turn signals while driving or your hazards. I don't know if that will work but that is how I did it when I could never get the switch to work on a new foglight assembly. hope that helps
