Well looks it's time for me to change my rotors. Seems like everyone is using Centric. Any other suggestions or should I just go back to stock?

Not me. I'm living off the cast offs. Too many people being convinced they need new rotors before they're actually worn out.

Lobuxracer,

You seem to be a fan of the carbotech pads. Do you know a good website/vendor on here to get them from at not a "retail price." Only place I found them at was below (THMotorsports). Carbotech's website did say NOT to get them through JDM Hub website you come across. If the lowest I can get them for is $380 for a set of the 1521's, I think I may just get Project Mu's since they make pads for all 4 corners.

http://thmotorsports.com/carbotech/c.../i-240282.aspx

Side note, has anyone tried disc italia pads yet???? The prices are pretty damn good
($260 for all 4) and they are ceramic. Not yet available but soon drilled & slotted rotors or just slotted for the F as well. When I see prices that are low it often reminds me of the "you get what you pay for" phrase and wanted to see if anyone took a dive into trying out this companies products on their F.

Brake Pads- http://www.brakeworld.com/ProductLis...=LEXUS&mod=ISF

Rotors NYA (Not yet Available)- http://www.brakeworld.com/ProductLis...=LEXUS&mod=ISF

I really want to order some brake pads soon and it pisses me off that HAWK has still never released a set for the rears. People can talk HAWK down all they want but I am a big fan of them and if they offered pads for all 4 corners I would happily buy right now. I don't know if it matter or not, but putting diff companies pads in the front and a diff companies pads in the back makes me feel uneasy.

Just checked the pricing. Rotors are back to 393.80 w/ the forum pricing.

I had a question. I see a lot of interest in carbotech, but they offer around 5 different kinds. What would you guys recommend for daily driving and the occasional "spirited" driving? The bobcat one is the least expensive, and seems to do the job.

Same question as above. What's a good dealer for carbotech?

Hey guys, anyone have any luck using the AC Delco Silicone lube to kill the squeeks. I did the TSB for the rears and that seems to have done the trick for the rears. I swapped to Bobcats for the fronts and I've still getting squeeks under light breaking.

Well it's time. I have noise from brakes and have measured the pads.

My OEM front and rear rotors measure at 27mm.

All Data at Audi dealership says front rotor is 30mm and 28mm being minimum.
The rear is 28mm and 26mm being minimum. Is this correct? I did a search and got some different information.

Should I replace all 4 rotors or just keep using them? Replace the front and keep using the rear?

I spoke to Robert at MVP and he has a set of Front/Rear Project Mu pads.

The OEM pads are very unforgiving to the rotors... But they do stop on a dime.. !!

Yes "All Data" is correct and matches the Minimum Thickness numbers ETCHED into the F&R rotor hubs..

It is time for new front rotors.. The rears should last you the same amount of miles on have on your ODO now..

Anything else I need to order for my mechanic to do the full brake job?

Does anyone have any feedback on how well the Centric Part # 12844164/12844163 Cross Drilled OEM Rotors from Rock Auto are holding up for the long term?

I'm thinking about purchasing a set of all 4 of these rotors but it makes me a little nervous considering Sewell's current pricing has them listed at $500+ for the fronts and $700+ for the rears. I know Sewell's pricing has been fluctuating, but holy crap that seems like pure robbery.

I know there's been discussion about the Centric OEM's being made in China but how are they holding up for you guys who have been running them?

Thanks in advance
